Tambuwal Emerges Speaker

Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal representing Kebbe Tambuwal of Sokoto State is now the new speaker of the House of Representatives.

Hon. Tambuwal came to the house in 2003 under the platform of PDP.

Hon. Aminu Tambuwal contested against Hon.Mulikat Akande-Adeola (PDP-Oyo) who got 90 votes while the new speaker got 252 out of 340.

The speaker and his deputy, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha (PDP, Imo) have already been sworn in.
