Andre Agassi confession is all about the money

Image
After hearing about using drugs during his career in his latest book, the news is a shocking news to the tennis world, Agassi is a Role Model to all, he is a champion and also a mentor to the kids n his sport foundation, his admission for the use of DRUGS has lead to many comments from a lot of people, but to me, its a commercial (is all about the money) , he is promoting his new book and he wants people to buy this book, and I think he will have a 6 digits, why now???. I'm not a Business student, but my view on this is that he is promoting his Latest Book with his latest Confession, what is your own opinion? LISTEN TO THIS

Lesson learnt from Lehman Brothers

Image
I came across this interview on Vanguard with the Central Bank Governor, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. He spoke about the Nigerian Banking sector, the state of the Nation's Economy and also about his future plans for the Nigerian Banking sector. During the Interview, he said, he learnt three things from the collapse of Lehman Brothers and they are: 1- never let a big bank fail, 2- know what the problem is before it strikes, and 3- people must be held accountable. I really enjoyed the interview, and you can find it here In the US, where it all started, no one has been brought to the book or maybe they are still investigating who is responsible for the meltdown, i believe what Sanusi said is true, someone must be held accountable, what do you think? Next, will be a discussion on the state of the Nigerian University Curriculum. until then, I have an exam on Friday morning and I will catch you later.

Saturday happened to be the day I was to attend the Malaysia’s premier Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) event , but due to my exam, i canceled it and stayed back in kuching to study for my exams, but i really missed the program, especially the key note speeches. I knew the event from Aizat Faiz , a pioneer Local IT professional whom I met at an MDeC event at UNIMAS , he is really good especially at what he does (computers). Sunday came the day that the Dean of School of Informatics of University of Wollongong, Australia, came to visit us (his students), Dr. Philip Ogunbona started his motivational speech by giving a story, he is a very good communicator, I can tell from his body language, he demonstrated alot which is a good way of passing message across to the audience, he spoke to us also about the following: His Latest Research The Job Industry University of Wollongong and the world ranking P

Its 2 (TWO) years NOW!

Its 2 years today, Its 730 days after he died. Dr Aminu Shuaibu Safana, a Medical Doctor by training, a politician by destiny and one of the most humorous members of the Dallaje Dynasty. He will be missed by all, and may Allah grant him Aljannatul Firdaus. Ameen. It takes a home to raise a member in their world, it takes a state to raise one of its Best Citizens, for those who know him, he is usually characterized by one thing, he is a GIVER, amongst the maroka, some called him Dan Isa Dokin kowa, I tell you that they are true and correct. For those close to hi, he is emotional, he is very sympathetic, and he is down to earth, Its really very common for someone like him to have a time of gisting with his employees, be it in the office or at home he always have time for them. Words cannot describe who he is and what he has achieved in his life, but I want to tell you all that Wazirin Safana is an Ideal Role Model for everyone to follow! May his Gentle Soul rest in perfect peace, Ameen!!

I need my own Domain!

Am beginning to love blogging, I am considering buying my own domain and join the blog world, a friend (kenwooi.com )I met at Intima conference last year (2008) is now one of the most popular bloggers in Malaysia, He started just like me and now, alot of people are viewing his blog daily. At first, when he was still using blogspot, I read the blog and found out that, he blogged about his assignment in skool and most people that go there were students, after that he began to blog about life and other things. I want to have my own domain name, as an IT practitioner, its kind of OK to have ur own site where people will go and find out more about you, especially employers, its Good for one to post his latest research and what he has achieved in the course of his life long journey. You can share alot of thought on your site and more on your life for those interested. Another thing i am thinking on is on what to blog about, I love to blog about politics, ICT and Computers, Education, Public
