Is Nigeria's Democracy Commercialized???

I use to wonder why the use of Money has become very synonymous with Democracy, but in Nigeria, the case is true, anywhere you go to campaign, if you dont give out money, forget it, even your posters will not be seen because no one will paste it around for other people to see and begin to think about voting you, the Question that is still unsolved is when did it start and How??? If that can be answered, then who started it? Who wanted to bury Lincoln famous saying that became a real definition of Democracy.
The Headlines of major Nigerian Newspapers is talking about a merger between AC and ANPP, still the same old players of the game are the one playing it now, I asked a friend of mine that Dont they think that the world has shifted beneath us and we are left behind, Nigerian democracy needs an urgent change, we the youths need to grow up and have a rethink that the future of the country lies on our hands, whenever we wake up and every morning, we should ask ourselves that what have we done to save our younger ones???
