ASSOCIATION OF KATSINA STATE COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS

We some concerned indigenes of Katsina State want to share the idea of forming the association of Katsina State Computer Science Students. We came up with this idea because of the awareness of the level of awareness of Information and communication Technology (ICT) in the state. A newspaper report reported that is ranked last in the terms of ICT development and deployment and this report boosted our effort of forming this association. Also, the number of students studying computer science in the tertiary levels both in Nigeria and abroad from Katsina State is very much and this also is an issue that makes us to look into.We also want to help one another by sharing the ideas and experiences we have in our fields of study with our colleagues. People studying outside Nigeria will get the latest technology in the market, and this is a forum whereby they will share the knowledge acquired with other colleagues.We also aim to introduce a free voluntary classes conducted by members of the association during holidays in order to help students that are new to the concept in fields like programming, database, networking, web development and lots more. Also, we want to be holding seminars/workshops to create awareness in the field of ICT round the whole state so that people will know how the course is, its applications and benefits. Remember, this association can not be formed and cannot be successful without you, we therefore, urge you give our suggestion a favorable consideration and also contribute towards the success of our state (Katsina). We would want Katsina state to be a fully ICT developed and deployed state and one of the best states in the country in the ICT sector.we want to get your feedback first before moving to the next stage!REMEMBER: "there is no place like home"
