INSECURITY: THE GREATEST THREAT NIGERIA FACES [Together, let’s put an end to it]

 

It is now a pandemic,

Like Ebola and Malaria, Polio and Small Pox, HIV Aids or Hepatitis, Boko Haram or Cybercrime,

Feared by every class, the rich and the poor,

Kidnapping or Banditry, Niger Delta crisis or Farmer-Herdsmen clashes, Boko Haram

What made us all to begin to face these threats?

HATE!

The Hate of One Religion over another, Language one speaks,

Ethnicity; our major Languages spoken in Nigeria Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo

It’s time we condemn this act in every language spoken in this Country,

This threat has left thousands dead and Millions of Naira gone as ransom,

Never again can we go back those dark days,

To those sponsoring the Bandits, their informants and those sheltering them,

Collective responsibility is what will make us proffer solutions,

Government cant legislate tolerance and eradicate hate,

Look at what Hate has lead us to,

Let’s get Educated (Western and Islamic),

With knowledge, we can fight any form of Threat we face,

That's why each one of us has to find the beauty in our differences instead of the fear,

Listen together instead of reacting,

Reach out to all irrespective of differences instead of recoiling,

In sha Allah, this issue will become a History in our Nation!

It shall be an event of the past!

It’s up to us,

All of us.
